Hi all. here's something for all you who keep running out of power when on a call. type nokia DC-8 into any good mobile accessory reseller's site and this new gadget will pop up. it's a charger which powers your phone either from a rechargeable battery or from a standard AA battery. it's compatible with most modern phones, though check for compatibility with the one you intend to use it with. i can confirm the n82 is compatible with this device. great to see nokia have brought something like this out at last. i'm awaiting mine now.

i've now got this gadget. it's a compact bit of kit, slightly larger than a double A battery. you plug a wire, supplied, into one end, btw, be aware that the wire is double ended, and both ends will fit into the unit, though only one end will charge your phone. the best way to find which end this is, as this gadget is made for multiple phones is to have your phone with you, plug in the wire to the gadget, then plug the other end into your phone. if you hear a beep, that's the right way round, if you don't, try flipping the wire round. the dc-8 even comes with a snazzy pouch! hehehehe, all mod cons here from nokia it seems. a great gadget. I would recommend using high end batteries in the unit, as you'll get far more use from it. hth.

btw, the battery you get with the dc-8 is a rechargeble one, plug in your nokia adapter after shoveing the battery in the unit with negetive end facing you as you slide the battery in and you'll be charging ok. btw, I don't know how long this takes to charge,
